Fairytale Ballet

Step into a world of magic and movement! In this joyful class specially devised for our youngest dancers, we will explore ballet through the lens of some of the style’s most beloved stories: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and more!

Run, jump, skip, leap, roll, spin, cartwheel, and more! This high-energy, athletic, and creative class combines healthy alignment and body awareness with the instinctive movements of young children. We will combine the funky fundamentals of hip-hop with the martial arts and dance components of Capoeira. Build cool skills, listen to great music, and most importantly: Ninjas bring the fun!

Tap

Instructor: Caroline Robins

Beginner (ages 7+): Mondays @ 5PM

Intermediate/Advanced (ages 10+): Mondays @ 6:15PM

Our tap classes combine musicality, coordination, and footwork in a fun, energetic environment. Dancers will explore fundamental steps, rhythmic patterns, and expressive movement as they develop their timing and technique.

Contemporary & Hip-hop

Beginner (ages 7+): Mondays @ 4PM

Advanced Contemporary (ages 12+): Wednesdays at 5PM

These classes incorporate the foundation of classical modern dance with the funk and flair of current dance styles. Students will explore their own creative voice through movement while also developing a strong understanding of technique. Class work will emphasize healthy alignment and core strength.

Jazz

Intermediate (ages 9+): Tuesdays @ 6:15PM

Advanced (ages 12+): Thursdays @ 5PM

Our jazz classes build on a technical foundation of ballet, modern, and popular dance to teach students a variety of classic jazz dance steps, skills, and terminology. We will explore footwork, jumps, leaps, turns, and much more! These classes will focus on developing strength, flexibility, and conditioning, as well as rhythm, musicality, and style.

Ballet

These classes help students establish a strong ballet foundation with a focus on strength, flexibility, and body alignment. Dancers will engage in both barre and center work to build proper technique and control, then apply those skills through choreography. This class nurtures confidence, discipline, and a lasting appreciation for ballet.

Musical Theater

Instructor: Amber Cameron

Beginner (ages 7+): Thursdays @ 4PM

Intermediate (ages 9+): Wednesdays @ 5PM

Advanced (ages 12+): Wednesdays @ 6:15

In these classes, dancers will explore the fundamentals of musical theater dance, working on foundational steps, technique, and performance skills. Students will learn choreographed combinations set to a variety of music—from modern pop to classic Broadway and everything in between! Throughout the session, dancers will focus on developing versatility, expression, and strong stage presence.

Pre-Ballet

Instructor: Darcy Boynton
Thursdays @ 4PM | ages 5-6

This introduction to ballet blends creative movement with the early building blocks of technique. Dancers will learn basic positions and foundational ballet terminology while developing coordination, balance, and musicality through imaginative exercises and gentle structure. With a focus on developing body awareness, focus, and confidence, this class will set dancers up for success!

CLASS LEVELS

Beginner classes are open to students ages 7 and up who have 0-2 years of prior dance class experience, and/or who are moving up from our 3-6 classes. Beginner students will get familiar with the structure of a dance class, work on foundational steps and skills, and learn the fundamentals of choreography in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Intermediate classes are open to students ages 9 and up who have 2-3 years of dance class experience in the relevant style. Intermediate students will build on what they've learned in previous years, developing technique, artistry, and advancing their ability to learn and perform choreography.

Advanced classes are open to students ages 12 and up who have 4+ years of dance class experience in the relevant style. Advanced students will hone their technique, learn intricate and challenging choreography, and explore their unique identities as performing artists.
